Tufan Erhurman discharged from hospital following health incident
Turkish Cypriot politician Tufan Erhurman was discharged from the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital in Nicosia on Saturday morning. Erhurman had been hospitalized on Friday after suffering from low blood pressure while attending an art exhibition at the former Presidential Palace. Medical staff reported that his condition is stable and that all clinical tests returned positive results. His office confirmed that he will remain in home rest following his doctors' recommendations. Numerous high-ranking officials visited him during his hospitalization, including Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, ‘prime minister’ Unal Ustel, and ‘parliament speaker’ Ziya Ozturkler. Several officials issued statements wishing him a speedy recovery and a quick return to his duties. His wife, Nilden Bektas Erhurman, confirmed via public message that he is recovering well.
