Greek police officer arrested for steroid trafficking ring involvement

The Hellenic Police Internal Affairs Division has dismantled a criminal organization involved in the illegal trafficking of anabolic steroids and pharmaceutical substances. A 35-year-old police officer, who is also a bodybuilder, was arrested following an anonymous tip. The investigation, which spanned several months, revealed that the organization had been active since at least August 2025. According to reports, the network imported prohibited substances from abroad, including products allegedly manufactured in a laboratory in the British Virgin Islands. The arrested officer is accused of abusing sick leave to work as a security provider for businessmen in Mykonos, while allegedly distributing prohibited substances. An anonymous tip also implicated the officer’s partner in the potential distribution of cocaine to affluent clients. The operation remains under further judicial investigation to determine the full extent of the criminal activities.
