Media organizations also reportedly received similar messages. Security protocols were activated, resulting in a police presence at the affected locations. Reports vary on whether a full evacuation occurred; some sources claim a brief evacuation took place, while police spokesperson Vyron Vyronos stated that an evacuation was deemed unnecessary. During the security sweep, shoppers at the Nicosia Mall were temporarily confined to retail stores as a safety precaution. Authorities have identified a young man as a suspect in connection with the threats. Police investigations into the origin and credibility of these digital messages remain ongoing.
