Panathinaikos defeats Grasshopper in pre-season friendly

On July 11, Panathinaikos played its third summer friendly match against Grasshopper at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium. Managed by coach Jacob Neestrup, the Greek team secured a 3-0 victory in front of approximately 10,000 to 15,000 spectators. The match marked the unofficial debut of defender Stefan de Vrij, who played in the starting lineup. Goals were scored by Yagusits and Taborda, while the team tested tactical build-up play against the Swiss side's high pressing. Panathinaikos demonstrated defensive stability and maintained control throughout the game. Following this match, the team is scheduled to play Rapid Wien in Hungary on July 15. The club's next major objective is the second qualifying round of the Conference League against Paksi.
