Cyprus government announces €61.7 million in additional public health infrastructure funding

The new projects include the second and third phases of the Athalassa Mental Health Centre, a new infectious diseases unit at Nicosia General Hospital, and various upgrades to facilities in Larnaca and Troodos. The government also confirmed the ongoing development of a new hospital in Polis Chrysochous. These infrastructure projects aim to improve care quality, enhance public safety, and provide better working conditions for medical staff. Government officials stated that these investments are supported by broader economic growth policies. While some initial statements mentioned approximate investment figures near €200 million, the official government confirmation finalized the total at €206.7 million.
