The video falsely suggested that the lake was an appropriate swimming spot and claimed that the municipality had granted permission for public use. Mayor Fotoula Hadjipapa clarified that the area is private property, and the local authorities hold no jurisdiction over it. She emphasized that the site is unsafe for the public and urged citizens to ignore misleading social media content. The content creator later informed the mayor that the post was intended as humor and did not anticipate the resulting confusion. Concerned by the potential risk to children and young adults, the municipality has reported the incident to the police. Officials reiterate that no such permission for public access has been granted and advise residents to rely only on official municipal statements.
