Artem Besedin retires from professional football at age 30
Ukrainian forward Artem Besedin has officially announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 30. Besedin, a former Dynamo Kyiv player, spent the second half of the 2022-2023 season on loan at Omonia, where he recorded 15 appearances and scored one goal. Following his tenure in Cyprus, he had brief stints with Ordabasy in Kazakhstan, as well as Lisen and Artis Brno in the Czech Republic. Throughout his career, he earned 19 caps for the Ukrainian national team and participated in the UEFA Euro 2021 tournament. Although he was initially considered a highly promising talent in Ukrainian football, his later career path did not meet original expectations. His recent professional engagements were marked by limited success at several clubs. The retirement marks the end of his professional athletic chapter.
