Ten dead in multi-vehicle accident in Jalisco, Mexico
On Sunday, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in the community of Hostotipaquillo in the Mexican state of Jalisco. The incident began with a collision between two freight trucks, leading to stationary vehicles on the road. A third truck subsequently collided with an emergency response team that had arrived at the scene. This secondary collision triggered a fire that engulfed multiple vehicles. According to the Civil Protection agency, ten people died, including two minors. Additionally, ten individuals sustained injuries, including two National Guard members reported to be in serious condition. Four United States citizens were also among the injured with less severe wounds. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the chain of collisions.
