Three foreign nationals attacked with a baton in Polis Chrysochous
Around midnight, three foreign nationals riding scooters were attacked in the Latsi area of Polis Chrysochous. According to police reports, a passenger in a passing vehicle struck the lead rider with a baton, causing the rider to lose control and leading to a collision involving the two scooters behind him. While some accounts describe the vehicle as a jeep, other police reports do not specify the make. The victims were transported to the hospital, treated for minor injuries, and subsequently discharged. The victims informed investigators that they had no known disputes with anyone, though one report suggested they were using secondary roads due to fears of previous attacks. The suspects fled the scene without being identified, and the license plate was not recorded. Paphos police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and seeking witnesses to identify the perpetrators. The employers of the victims have requested a more effective investigation into the incident.
