Cyprus beach handball national teams performance at the 2026 EHF championship

The EHF Beach Handball Championship 2026 took place in Zagreb, Croatia, from July 9 to 12. The Cyprus men's national team reached the quarter-finals after defeating Switzerland 2-0, but subsequently lost 2-0 to Norway. In the classification matches for positions 5-8, the team was defeated by Ukraine in a shootout and then lost 2-0 to Turkey, finishing outside the top seven qualification spots for the 2027 EHF Euro. The Cyprus women's national team finished in 12th place. During the classification matches for positions 9-12, the women's team won three of their final four games, including a 2-0 victory over Turkey. Magda Papa stood out for Cyprus, finishing as the tournament's top scorer with 170 goals, surpassing the second-place player who scored 122.
