Dimitris Dimitriou appointed special advisor to DISY president
The Democratic Rally (DISY) party president, Annita Dimitriou, has officially appointed Dimitris Dimitriou as a special advisor on public safety and crisis management. This appointment follows the recent election cycle, where the party is integrating former high-profile candidates into official advisory roles. Dimitris Dimitriou, a former deputy police chief and an aristindin (candidate by merit) candidate for the party in Nicosia, will focus on shaping policies related to citizen security and emergency response. The party president emphasized that this move is part of a broader strategy to utilize the expertise of candidates who contributed to the party's recent electoral results. Dimitris Dimitriou stated that he views public safety as a matter of responsibility rather than partisan conflict and intends to work on modern, actionable policies. Alongside this appointment, the party has been assigning other former candidates to various roles, including Paris Tasos Markou, who was named advisor for issues concerning missing persons. These organizational changes reflect the party's effort to maintain its internal human capital following the parliamentary elections.
