Cyprus Football Association announces 2026-2027 league details

The Cyprus Football Association has scheduled the draw for the 2026-2027 Cyprus League by Stoiximan for Friday, July 24, at 11:00 AM at the Olympic House in Nicosia. The championship will commence on the weekend of August 29-30, 2026, and conclude on May 22-23, 2027. A total of 14 teams will participate: AEK Larnaca, AEL Limassol, ALS Omonia 29M, Anorthosis Famagusta, APOEL Nicosia, Apollon Limassol, Aris Limassol, Karmiotissa Polemidion, Krasava ENY, Olympiakos Nicosia, Omonia Aradippou, Omonia Nicosia, Pafos FC, and Ypsonas. The tournament structure consists of two phases. The first phase involves 26 matchdays where all 14 teams compete in a double round-robin format. Following this, teams are split into two groups: the top six in Group A and the remaining eight in Group B. Group A will play a double round-robin (10 matchdays), while Group B will play a single round (7 matchdays). The final three teams in Group B will be relegated to the second division.
