Cyprus Basketball Federation leadership holds planning meetings

The leadership of the Cyprus Basketball Federation, including President Louis Demetriou and Secretary Angelos Pelagias, held two separate meetings at the Allwyn Fair Play Hall in the Cyprus Olympic House. During the first meeting, they convened with the new EOAA Committee, the Basketball Referees Association, the Basketball Scorers Association, the Statistical Service, and the Winter Amateur Championship representatives to discuss preparations for the 2026-2027 season. Giannakis Kapitanis was named head of the EOAA Committee, with Andri Louka as the operational lead. Other committee members include Petros Christofidis, Marios Kyprianou, Giannis Plakotas, Panagiotis Chatzipavlou, Kostas Stavrou, Nikolas Petrou, Nikos Mannouris, and Dimitris Varzakakos. A second meeting was held with club representatives from the B1 and B2 divisions, joined by board member Charis Nikolaou. This session focused on strategies for the growth, upgrading, and overall improvement of these league tiers. Both meetings concluded with an agreement to maintain close cooperation and coordination to ensure the smooth operation of upcoming competitions.
