PAOK Thessaloniki signs midfielder Baptiste Santamaria

PAOK Thessaloniki has officially announced the acquisition of 31-year-old French midfielder Baptiste Santamaria. The player has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2027, and he will wear the number 7 jersey. Born on March 9, 1995, in Saint-Doulchard, Santamaria began his professional career at Tours in 2013 before moving to Angers in 2016. He later played for Freiburg, where he was a record transfer, followed by stints at Rennes, a loan spell at Nice, and a move to Valencia in the summer of 2025. The midfielder has previously represented the France U21 national team. Throughout his career, he has accumulated experience from over 400 matches in top-tier European leagues. His move to PAOK marks the latest chapter in a career that has spanned the French, German, and Spanish top divisions.
