Russia launches missile and drone attacks across Ukraine
Shortly after midnight, a series of at least six explosions occurred in Kiev following air raid warnings. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the city was targeted by ballistic missiles, causing fires in three locations within the Holosiivskyi district, though no injuries were reported. Simultaneously, Russian drone strikes in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia resulted in 11 injuries. Additionally, six people were injured near Kharkiv due to shelling. These attacks followed a meeting in Paris where leaders from several European nations announced the formation of a defense alliance to develop anti-ballistic capabilities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized the summit as a historic event in the context of ongoing efforts to increase military aid. The air raid alert in Kiev lasted for approximately 50 minutes before ending.
