37-year-old man dies after being trapped in rocks at Cape Greco

A 37-year-old Greek Cypriot man from Pano Polemidia passed away at Famagusta General Hospital yesterday at approximately 5:00 p.m. He had been receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit following a severe accident. On Sunday, July 12, the man was discovered trapped among rocks in the Konnos area of Cape Greco. Members of the Fire Service successfully extricated him, and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. A formal post-mortem examination is scheduled for today to determine the exact causes of death. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at 5:00 p.m. at the Holy Cross Church in Pano Polemidia, with burial at the Second Cemetery of Pano Polemidia. The family has requested donations in support of the family instead of wreaths. Kiki Mavris, Deputy Mayor of Pano Polemidia, publicly expressed his condolences to the grieving family.
