Cypriot National Guard holds swearing-in ceremony for 2026 class of non-commissioned officers

On July 14, 2026, the Cypriot Minister of Defense, Vasilis Palmas, presided over the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 class of permanent non-commissioned officers. The event took place at the Stylianos Kalmpourtzis military camp in Delikipos. During his address, Minister Palmas stated that the National Guard remains the primary deterrent force for the Republic of Cyprus.
