Charis Georgiou to represent Cyprus at Junior Eurovision 2026
The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) has announced that 13-year-old Charis Georgiou will represent Cyprus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The competition is scheduled to take place in Malta on October 24, 2026. Georgiou was selected following a process that received 209 applications. Currently, the artist is a student at the Platinum Performing Arts school in London. The song for the competition will be revealed at a later date. CyBC stated that this participation is part of a new policy to take part in all three European Broadcasting Union music competitions, including the Eurovision Song Contest and Eurovision Young Musicians. The corporation expressed gratitude to all participants and their families for their efforts during the selection phase.
