New emergency access inaugurated at Agios Athanasios industrial area
On Tuesday, July 14, Minister Vafeadis inaugurated a new temporary emergency entrance and exit for the Agios Athanasios industrial area. The project was completed in one month, significantly faster than the initial four-month schedule. The Association of Industrialists requested the infrastructure to improve safety and facilitate access for fire trucks, police, and ambulances during emergencies. Vasos Dimitriadis, president of the Association of Industrialists, attended the ceremony and described the project as a vital step in preventing risks to workers and businesses. During the event, Dimitriadis also called for a permanent highway connection and criticized the Ministry of Energy regarding land allocation for public utility services. The new infrastructure addresses long-standing safety concerns regarding potential fire incidents in the industrial zone.
