Lawyer charged with sexual harassment in Limassol

A case has been filed at the Limassol District Court against a lawyer accused of sexual harassment by a 19-year-old woman. The incident allegedly occurred last week at the offices of the Anti-Drugs Unit (YKAN) in Limassol, where the lawyer had arrived to provide legal representation to the woman following her arrest on drug charges. The meeting took place without the presence of a police officer. Following the complaint, the lawyer was arrested by the Limassol CID and held in custody before being released last Thursday. The case file was reviewed by the Law Office of the Republic, which instructed that the charges be filed immediately. The lawyer has been formally charged with sexual harassment. The case is now awaiting trial at a later date. Throughout the process, the presumption of innocence applies to the accused, who provided his own version of events to investigators during questioning.
