KOP President addresses the status of Tsirio Stadium for the upcoming season

During a press conference held to mark one year in office, Cyprus Football Association (KOP) President Haris Loizidis discussed the potential licensing of Tsirio Stadium. Two clubs, Karmiotissa and Krasava ENY, have expressed their intent to use the stadium as their home ground for the upcoming season. Loizidis confirmed that licensing is possible, though it may require closing specific stadium sections for safety reasons. Affected teams must designate an alternative home stadium in case the Tsirio licensing process remains incomplete when the season begins. The federation has set a deadline of late August for the final decision on the stadium's status. If the license is not approved by the start of the championship, the federation will intervene to maintain fair play, as playing at a later date would distort the league schedule. Teams may potentially be permitted to play at the stadium during the second phase of the championship if conditions are met.
