The Isaac-Solomou memorial initiative, marking 30 years since the 1996 deaths of Tassos Isaac and Solomos Solomou, reached its seventh stop in Kastellorizo and the island of Ro. The group, consisting of motorcyclists, runners, and swimmers, held commemorative events to honor the memory of the two men, who were killed in the UN buffer zone in Cyprus. Tasoula Isaac visited the tomb of Despina Achladioti on Ro, placing flowers brought from Karavas, Kythira. Runners completed a 30-kilometer route on Kastellorizo, while swimmers conducted a symbolic event on July 14th to promote themes of justice and freedom. Anastasia Isaac raised an Greek flag at the chapel of Saint George as part of the ceremony. The delegation previously met with the President of the Greek Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, following a tour that included stops in Rhodes, Salamina, and other locations. The mission, which began in Limassol on July 8, aims to emphasize the demand for the rights of Cypriot refugees.
