Panathinaikos suffered a 4-1 defeat against Rapid Vienna during a friendly match held in Austria. The match, which served as a final preparation ahead of the Conference League qualifying round against Paks, featured a 90-minute game followed by an additional 30 minutes of play. Rapid Vienna led 3-0 by halftime, capitalizing on defensive lapses from the Greek side. Panathinaikos scored their only goal during the extra 30-minute period through Pantelidis after a counter-attack. The event also marked the 25th anniversary of the partnership between the fan bases of the two clubs. During the game, Panathinaikos player Ingason left the pitch due to an injury. Coach Jacob Neestrup used the match to experiment with his lineup and give playing time to various squad members. Davide Calabria did not participate in the trip due to a meniscus injury.
