Antonio Portales set to join Omonia 29M
Mexican central defender Antonio Portales is expected to join the Cypriot football club Omonia 29M. According to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, the 30-year-old player will travel to Cyprus to finalize the transfer. The agreement includes a one-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year. Portales is a product of the Monterrey academy and has previously played in the second division of Mexico. His professional background also includes a stint in Scotland with Dundee. Most recently, he was associated with the team Jaiba Brava. The move marks a return to European football for the defender.
