The National Betting Authority of Cyprus reported that total gross betting revenue reached €360.1 million in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 12 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025. Online betting (Class B) drove the growth with €273 million in revenue, a 17 percent increase, while land-based betting (Class A) saw a marginal decline of 1 percent to €87.1 million. Player payouts totaled €314.2 million, which is also a 12 percent year-on-year increase. Overall industry earnings rose by 11 percent to €45.9 million. The number of licensed land-based betting premises increased by 1 percent to 459, employing 1,529 people. Meanwhile, the authority continued its efforts against illegal gambling by adding 406 websites to the blocklist, bringing the total number of blocked sites to 22,415.
