Cypriot clubs learn opponents for the 2026/27 FIBA Europe Cup

On Thursday, July 16, the draw for the 2026/27 FIBA Europe Cup was held, determining the regular season groups for Keravnos and AEK Larnaca. The tournament features a new format with 48 teams divided into eight groups of six, with each team playing ten matches. Keravnos was drawn into Group 4 alongside RASTA Vechta, King Szczecin, SLUC Nancy Basket, Nitra Blue Wings, and BC Vienna. AEK Larnaca was placed in Group 5, with opponents including Fitness First Würzburg Baskets, Tartu Ulikool Maks & Moorits, Iraklis Thessaloniki, Dziki Warszawa, and MZT Skopje Aerodrom. The participation of several teams in these groups, including AEK, RASTA Vechta, BC Vienna, Fitness First Würzburg Baskets, and Dziki Warszawa, remains subject to their final outcomes in the Basketball Champions League qualification rounds. The top two teams from each group will advance to the second phase of the tournament. The new format increases the number of guaranteed games from six to ten for each participant.
