Apollon Limassol to face Dila Gori in Conference League second qualifying round

Apollon Limassol will face the Georgian club Dila Gori in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. Dila Gori secured their qualification despite a 1-0 loss to Virtus in San Marino, having won the first leg 3-1. The first leg for Apollon will take place away on July 23, followed by the return leg in Limassol on July 28. Dila Gori, currently managed by Greek coach Akis Vavalis, sits in sixth place in the Georgian league with 26 points from 19 matches. The club has previous history with Cypriot teams, having eliminated Anorthosis in 2012-2013 and lost to APOEL in 2023-2024. Furthermore, Apollon previously acquired winger Tyrell Wouter from Dila Gori in early 2025 for 250,000 euros, before he was transferred to RFS Riga for 500,000 euros. Dila Gori’s honors include one league title, two cups, and one Super Cup.
