Cyprus swimming championships continue in Larnaca

The 2025-2026 Cyprus Category Swimming Championships continued at the Olympic Swimming Pool in Larnaca on Wednesday, July 15. The second day of competition featured two new national records. Andreas Alexandrou of the Limassol Nautical Club broke his own record in the 200m breaststroke for boys aged 13-14 (Pampaides A') with a time of 2:27.67. Additionally, the Nicosia Nautical Club team, consisting of Iosifina Tziovanni, Michaella Lymbouris, Andreas Karaolis, and Viktoras Andreou, set a new national record in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay with a time of 3:49.07, surpassing the 2024 record held by the National Team. In the Youth category, the Nicosia Nautical Club leads with 189 points, followed by APOEL (156) and the Limassol Nautical Club (107). In the older teens category, the Nicosia Nautical Club leads with 183 points, ahead of the Famagusta Nautical Club (132) and a shared third place between the Paphos and Limassol Nautical Clubs (93). The events were scheduled to continue on Thursday, July 16.
