Nicosia Swimming Club wins dual championship titles at Larnaca finals

The Pan-Cyprian Categorical Swimming Championships for the 2025-2026 season concluded on July 17 at the Olympic Swimming Pool in Larnaca. The Nicosia Swimming Club secured both team titles, winning the Youth championship for the 13th time and the Children's category for the 16th time. In the Youth category, Nicosia finished with 463 points, followed by APOEL (322) and Limassol Swimming Club (207). In the Children's category, Nicosia scored 389.5 points, ahead of Famagusta Swimming Club (282.5) and Limassol Swimming Club (226). During the event, four national records were broken, including Andreas Alexandrou's performances in the 100m and 200m breaststroke. Additionally, the Nicosia relay team set a new national record in the 4x100m freestyle mixed relay with a time of 3:49.07. Giorgos Onisiforou of the Paphos Swimming Club was named the best swimmer in the Children's category after an impressive performance in the 200m freestyle.
