Government Spokesperson addresses 'From Press to Present' event in Nicosia

On Thursday in Nicosia, Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis attended the 'From Press to Present' event organized by the Press and Information Office (PIO). The event showcased archival material from the PIO's newspaper collection, presenting historical Cypriot events and social changes through animations based on authentic documents. Letymbiotis highlighted the importance of the archive as a historical repository for future generations. During his address, he welcomed students from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Chair of Cypriot Studies. The Chair of Cypriot Studies was inaugurated by President Nikos Christodoulides in October 2025. Letymbiotis stated that this academic cooperation symbolizes the strengthening ties between Cyprus and Greece. The event focused on the role of digital innovation in archiving and presenting historical media records.
