Consumer survey reveals roaming service trends for Cypriot travellers in 2025
A survey conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Communications (OCECPR) in December 2025 highlights the quality of roaming services for Cypriot travellers within the European Economic Area. The study, carried out by Pulse Market Research, involved 2,014 participants who undertook 3,869 trips. Data shows that 83% of travellers experienced no connection issues upon arrival, a slight improvement from 81% in 2024. Among the 17% who faced problems, 16% reported that their issues were resolved automatically or through their mobile provider, while 2% remained unable to connect. Greece was identified as the most frequent destination (75%), followed by Italy, Austria, France, and Germany. Satisfaction levels rose to 77%, up from 75% the previous year, while reports of lower connection speeds dropped to 21% from 24%. Countries including Latvia, Sweden, Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway were cited as having the most service challenges. Conversely, Denmark, Estonia, Croatia, France, and Greece received the highest user satisfaction ratings.
