Lexus unveils eighth generation ES sedan
Lexus has announced the eighth generation of its ES luxury sedan, marking a significant redesign for the brand. Led by Lexus International design head Yahiko Kumai, the team utilized the 'Clean Tech x Elegance' design philosophy. The vehicle is built on an upgraded K platform designed to accommodate both hybrid and fully electric powertrains. This new model features a redesigned spindle grille and L-shaped lighting signatures. The design team employed the golden ratio to optimize the vehicle's proportions, including length, wheelbase, width, and height. Despite being a sedan, the manufacturer claims the interior cabin space is comparable to that of an SUV. This generation represents a shift in the model's history by incorporating a fully electric version into the lineup for the first time.
