Authorities arrest another suspect in Larnaca terrorism case
Cypriot authorities have arrested a third-country national in connection with an ongoing terrorism investigation being handled by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The suspect was transported to Cyprus following a coordinated operation involving the CID and other state agencies. The individual faces the same charges as three other suspects already in custody. Reports suggest the newly arrested individual is alleged to have recruited the other suspects and met with them during overseas travel. The Larnaca District Court has issued an eight-day detention order to facilitate further investigations. This case, which began with initial arrests in May, is also pending before the Larnaca Assize Court. The authorities continue their examination of the evidence.
