While the mechanic sustained no serious injuries, the FIA stewards fined Ferrari 30,000 euros, with 10,000 euros suspended for 12 months provided no further infractions occur. Ferrari is required to submit a report on safety procedures within 14 days. Earlier in the race weekend, Hamilton also experienced an accident during the third free practice session at turn 13, causing damage to his SF-26 car.
