On July 18, 2026, 72-year-old Maria Paraskeva was reported missing after departing from Latsi in the Paphos district at approximately 23:50 in a silver Nissan Note with registration number NHH167. Police issued a public appeal for information on the morning of July 19, 2026, noting that she was approximately 1.65 meters tall, of heavy build, and was last seen wearing a dark dress. Authorities indicated that the woman might suffer from memory loss or disorientation. Following a search operation, the police confirmed on July 19 that she had been located safely. Consequently, the police requested that her personal details and photograph be removed from public circulation. The case was handled by the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department.
