Indian woman arrested for orchestrating husband's murder using a venomous snake

Atul Kumar Panwar, a 32-year-old daycare owner in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, was found dead in his home on Friday morning. Police have arrested his wife, Damini, her alleged lover Tushar, and two snake charmers in connection with the case. Authorities state that the suspects sedated Panwar with sleeping pills mixed in milk before using a highly venomous krait to bite him while he slept. The incident was initially presented by the wife as an accidental snake bite, a claim bolstered by the presence of a dead snake on the bed and visible bite marks. The investigation shifted when the victim's father filed a complaint accusing his daughter-in-law of murder. Police allege that the couple planned the killing to stage a tragic accident. The suspects are currently in custody as the investigation continues.
