Arson attack on a cafe in Nemea
In the early hours of Sunday, July 19, an arson attack occurred at a cafe located in the center of Nemea, Greece. According to security footage, two masked individuals arrived at the scene on a motorcycle between 02:30 and 03:00. The perpetrators poured gasoline on the entrance and inside the establishment before igniting the fire with a lighter. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the incident. The blaze caused material damage to the entrance and parts of the interior, though it did not spread throughout the entire building. The cafe is situated in a densely populated area near residential buildings and other businesses, raising concerns about potential risks to lives and property. The Investigative Department of the Fire Service has launched an inquiry into the matter. Authorities are currently reviewing security camera footage and investigating the motives behind the attack to identify and locate the perpetrators.
