Nissan Qashqai sales exceed four million units in Europe

Nissan has announced that cumulative sales of the Qashqai model in the European market have surpassed four million units since its launch in 2006. The vehicle, currently in its third generation, is designed and developed specifically for the European market at Nissan's facilities in London and other technical centers. Over its nineteen-year history, the model has received over 110 international awards, including 20 'Car of the Year' titles. A central feature of recent iterations is the e-POWER hybrid system, which utilizes a gasoline engine as a generator to power an electric motor that drives the wheels. Nissan reports that the e-POWER configuration achieves an average fuel consumption of 4.3 liters per 100 kilometers under WLTP standards. The manufacturer claims this technology provides a driving experience similar to an electric vehicle without requiring external charging. The total range on a single tank is stated to exceed 1,200 kilometers.
