Results announced for the 2026 Pancyprian examinations

The Cypriot Ministry of Education has announced the results of the 2026 Pancyprian examinations, with 3,113 candidates securing university places. Out of 4,969 total participants, ten students achieved a perfect score of 20. Specifically, 1,590 students were placed at the University of Cyprus, 1,382 at the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK), and 141 at Greek military academies. Notable top performers include Petros Nikolaou, who entered medical school, and Maria Christina Chrysanthou Makryluka, who secured a place in architecture. President Nikos Christodoulides congratulated the successful students while encouraging those who did not meet their goals, emphasizing that individual worth is not defined by a single exam. Candidates currently serving in the military were advised to reserve their university placements for the following academic year. The authorities have provided guidance on the next steps for university admission, including acceptance deadlines and the process for a second distribution of spots.
