Cyprus announces results for 2026 secondary school entrance exams

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Education Minister Athena Michaelidou announced the results of the 2026 Pancyprian entrance exams. Out of 4,969 participating candidates, ten students achieved a perfect score of 20, including Nicolas Christou from Agios Georgios Lyceum in Lakatamia. A total of 3,113 study places were allocated across Cyprus public universities and Greek military academies, with 1,590 spots at the University of Cyprus and 1,382 at the Technical University (TEPAK). Statistical data indicated mixed academic performance, with modern Greek average scores improving to 11.39, while Mathematics of Direction remained the lowest performing subject at 7.43. Candidates must confirm their places online between July 22 and July 28, 2026. Male students currently serving in the National Guard are required to reserve their university positions for future academic years. The examination service plans to announce rankings for Greek public universities in the coming days, with official allocations expected in August.
