Derrick Luckassen reportedly set to join Red Star Belgrade
According to reports from the Serbian outlet Sportal, professional footballer Derrick Luckassen is expected to join Red Star Belgrade. The Ghanaian defender, who previously played for Pafos FC, has reportedly agreed to sign a three-year contract. Luckassen declined a new contract offer from Pafos FC to pursue this move. The player is noted for his recent participation in the World Cup, where he represented Ghana against Croatia and Colombia. If the transfer is completed, he will join his former colleague Loizos Loizou at the Serbian club. This move may impact the current Red Star roster, potentially leading to the departures of players like Rodrigao and Strakhinja Erakovic. Despite representing Ghana, Luckassen also holds a Dutch passport, which could affect his registration status.
