Cyprus launches two school supply collection campaigns for vulnerable families
Two separate initiatives are collecting school supplies for children from vulnerable families ahead of the 2026 academic year. The Cyprus Red Cross is running its 'Back to School' campaign from July 20 to September 4, 2026, accepting new bags, stationery, and clean, logo-free uniforms at their local branches in Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, Famagusta, and Polis Chrysochous. Additionally, the Cyprus Post, in partnership with the Pancyprian Volunteer Coordinative Council, is conducting a separate collection drive at district postal offices including Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, and Paralimni throughout the summer until early September. The Cyprus Red Cross accepts donations during specific weekday hours varying by location, while the Cyprus Post collection is available during regular operating hours. All collected items will be distributed to students in need to ensure they start the school year with necessary materials. Both organizations aim to support families facing financial hardship through public donations. Detailed information and contact numbers are available through the respective official websites and local branch offices.
