17th annual charity tuna fishing tournament held in Cyprus
The 17th Charity Tuna Fishing Tournament took place in Cyprus on Sunday, July 19, featuring 26 crews from across the island. The event was organized by the company DACOR. Participants successfully caught over 25 tons of fish during the competition. A significant portion of the catch was auctioned to generate funds. Additional revenue was collected through entry fees and lottery sales. The organizers announced that the total amount raised exceeds 4,000 euros. All proceeds are designated for the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society to support their operations. The funds were gathered through the combined contributions of participants, sponsors, and the public.
