Cypriot sailors compete in Los Angeles Grand Slam

Cypriot sailor Pavlos Kontides is participating in the third sailing Grand Slam of the year in San Pedro, Los Angeles. His performance includes a discarded 27th place, followed by finishes of 3rd, 8th, 8th, and 5th in subsequent races. British sailor Michael Beckett currently leads the competition. Fellow Cypriot athlete Marilena Makri is competing in the ILCA 6 class, with reports differing on her ranking between 16th and 20th place.
