AEL Limassol has officially announced the signing of 29-year-old Portuguese midfielder Bruno Almeida, who joins the club on a contract lasting until 2027 following a transfer from Santa Clara. Almeida, a left-footed player capable of operating on both wings and as an attacking midfielder, is part of the club's ongoing effort to rebuild its squad under manager Hugo Martins.

The club has also confirmed the addition of players including Karo and Denswil to strengthen the defensive line. During the team's first preseason friendly against Karmiotissa, AEL secured a 2-1 comeback victory with goals from Karamanis and Joao Tavares, although new signings including Almeida, Karo, and Denswil did not participate as they followed individual training programs.

Looking ahead, AEL is preparing for further transfers, aiming for at least four more acquisitions, including a creative midfielder or playmaker. The team is scheduled to travel to Poland on August 1 for an intensive two-week training camp at the Sielanka sports center, which will include three friendly matches. Before the trip, the team will continue local preparations, including a friendly against Olympiakos Nicosia on July 25.
