Cyprus to host 2026 MEVZA Beach Volleyball U18 and U20 championships

The Cyprus Volleyball Federation will host the 2026 MEVZA Beach Volleyball U18/U20 Championship from July 23 to 26, 2026. The event will take place at the Federal Beach Volleyball Facilities in Agios Tychon, Limassol. A total of 48 teams comprising 96 athletes from Cyprus, Israel, Austria, Croatia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic are scheduled to compete. At a press conference, Federation President Dr. Kostas Konstantinou and Vice President Franklino Andreou introduced the organizational goals, emphasizing the promotion of Limassol as a sports destination. The Cypriot delegation will include head of mission Kypros Georgiadis, coach Charalambos Zorbis, and athletes Michalis Kalafatis and Ourania Kyriakou. Representatives from the embassies of Hungary, Austria, and Israel were also present at the announcement. The tournament aims to inspire youth and foster sports participation through high-level athletic engagement.
