The shared content originated from the far-right political group Drasis-KES and featured an image of Archbishop Makarios with the caption 'The ultimate betrayal'. According to the department's statement, the incident was caused by an accidental button press by the page administrator. This occurred while the administrator was attempting to post a report regarding a recent seizure of tobacco products at Larnaca Airport. Once the error was identified, the staff removed the post immediately. The administration expressed sincere apologies for the disturbance caused by this event.
