The 12th Pancyprian Potato Festival to be held in Avgorou

The 12th Pancyprian Potato Festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, at the municipal stadium in Avgorou. The event highlights local agricultural production, featuring an exhibition of potato varieties, agricultural machinery, and tractors. The program begins at 18:00 with a live broadcast by Zenith FM producers Rikkos Ioannou and Marianna. At 18:30, a live cooking demonstration will allow attendees to participate in preparing and tasting sweet potato-based mini pancakes. Throughout the event, visitors will have access to food stalls offering various dishes, including kleftiko, souvla, and various desserts. The evening will conclude with musical performances by Greek artists Kaiti Garbi, Dionysis Schinas, and Marseaux. The festival aims to serve as a significant gastronomic and cultural event for the Famagusta district.
