Over the past week, Ukraine has conducted a series of drone strikes targeting warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest e-commerce company. The campaign began on July 19-20 with attacks in Katovsk and Elektrostal, followed by further strikes on July 22 in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk, and reaching the St. Petersburg area on July 24. Russian officials, including Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, acknowledged the severe economic impact on both the company and small businesses, while denying Ukrainian claims that the facilities support military logistics. Tatyana Kim, CEO of Wildberries, confirmed the evacuation of staff during the attacks. While Russian authorities reported intercepting nearly 60 drones in the Leningrad region, the persistent nature of these strikes has caused operational disruptions across the retailer's national network. Market reactions were noted, with shares of competitor Ozon falling as analysts monitor risks to the broader Russian retail sector.
