Investigation launched following reports of sewage at Timi beach
Local authorities in the Paphos district are investigating reports of sewage contamination at Timi beach following complaints from swimmers. Deputy Mayor Giorgos Polykarpou conducted an on-site inspection and collected water samples to assess the situation and identify potential causes. The reports from visitors have caused significant concern regarding public health and the safety of the recreational area. The beach, located approximately three kilometers from the Timi settlement, is known for its quiet environment and shallow waters. Authorities are now tasked with testing the water quality and determining the source of the pollution. Public access to the area remains a primary concern for the local residents who requested urgent action. Further measures will be determined based on the laboratory findings of the collected samples.
